After graduation, she practiced general dentistry for several years before joining The Ohio State University, where she completed her three-year residency and a master of science degree in periodontics. Dr. Meng is a board-certified periodontist, a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, and also currently a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Periodontics and Dental Hygiene at The Univ. of Texas Health Science Center in Houston (UTHealth) School of Dentistry. She specializes in all aspects of periodontics and implant dentistry and has been very active in both academia and private practices.

After working in engineering for a few years, he decided to pursue a career in dentistry. Dr. Thompson received his DDS from Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington D.C. After dental school, Dr. Thompson served in the Army for 8 years. Dr. Thompson received his Endodontic certificate and Master’s Degree from the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston.
